Headed off early to see the USS Arizona Memorial at Pearl Harbour, which included a movie of the attack on Pearl Harbour and a visit to the memorial that is built over the wreckage, which is still visible below the water line after all this time. A cool part of the day was the kids having their picture taken with a couple of survivors of the Pearl Harbour Attack of Dec 1941 and who signed some programs for the kids.
After having some lunch we headed off to tour the west coast of Oahu, which included a swim at the Makaha Beach Park. The west coast was similar in conditions to the north and east the day before, with dumpers onshore and strong rips. We managed to get some swimming in and got some cool shots of the locals bodysurfing and surfing. Saw some amazing surfing where they stand on boards and paddle. See photos on blog.
We headed back to Waikiki for a late afternoon swim and to catch a beautiful sunset that occurs over the ocean on the beach.
